Infusionsoft Web Forms Bot Captcha
Do you ever talk at events then you need to know about the latest Infusionsoft web forms bot captcha?
If you use native Infusionsoft web forms, you should be aware that Infusionsoft has introduced a ‘bot captcha’ mechanism to native web forms. When your Infusionsoft web forms are completed multiple times in quick succession from the same IP address, and bot captcha appears.
This step prevents most automated bots from repeatedly completing your web forms, populating your Infusionsoft database with bogus contacts.
How To Disable Bot Captcha On Your Web Forms
On the webform settings screen, you can choose to disable this step on a form by form basis.
So… Why Would You Disable It?
Let’s say you’re giving a presentation at an event, or even to a small group. You have a call to action in your presentation, where people in the audience can opt-in to your stuff.
If you don’t disable bot detection, everybody in the audience connected to wifi may get the captcha message on opt-in. This is because they’ll all be on the same IP address.
It’s something to consider if you ever give live presentations.
