Marketing Fail
Today I wanted to share a classic marketing fail.
I was telling you last time about my early passion for clothes – and the harsh reality of making brown bus uniforms in Stoke-on-Trent…
The next job I got was much more ‘my scene’. I landed a placement role at a cool clothing importer in London.
I could see this was what I wanted to do. They had a vibrant environment. Nice offices. Young trendy colleagues. Lots of midweek drinking and debauchery.
“I’m home!” I thought to myself.
About two weeks before the end of my placement the company abruptly went bust…
It turned out I wasn’t the only one splashing more cash than I really earned. They were gambling huge amounts on edgy clothing stock – not to mention the tremendous ‘office expenses’ we accumulated each month.
Every business is to some degree a gamble. We pour our time, our lives and our resources into our businesses.
We’ve all heard the failure statistics for small businesses. But I’ve seen first-hand that you can tip the odds in your favour by leveraging sensible marketing automation.
Don't make the same marketing fail.
