1 Click Webinar Registration Video
In today's short video, I want to show you how you can do a 1 click webinar registration.
So this basically, if you send an email to someone on your Infusionsoft list, they click a link and they are automatically registered for the webinar. Now, in order to do that you need to have previously watched my GoToWebinar and Zoom integrations. I'll put a link here for you to watch those.
And this is just really an added bit of functionality to get more people to register for your webinar so they don't have to fill out forms and things like that. And we've seen registration rates, anyway, increase from anywhere from about 20 to 40% by doing this single strategy.
1 Click Webinar Registration Boost Attendance By 26%-43%
So it's very, very simple. We have our original campaign here. We're just going to add a little bit at the start of the campaign. We're going to go into here and we're going to create our email. I'm just going to pull a dummy email out here. I'll put that there and that'll be one-click email. Now, the other things we need to do are basically we need to create a new tag, so I'm just going to grab my Infusionsoft here. I'm going to go into tags and we created some tags here. I'm just going to create a new tag, which is… I always think it's good to know how many people have clicked from a one-click registration, so I'm just going to call that test tag.
Sorry, one-click registration. That's what we call that in the temp tags, temporary tags. So we add that tag. Now we go back to our… Infusionsoft Campaign moves that off the screen a sec and with all the little things we want to do is when they click on the link we want to redirect them to a page. Ideally what the page says, thanks you're registered for the webinar. Please check your email shortly to get your confirmation. And, just for the sake of this campaign, I'm just going to create a redirect. And just going to add a quick link here. So it's one-click.
Less Friction = More Registrants
And I always like to use campaign links rather than putting the links in the actual emails by hand because it's very easy to change. And so I'm just going to put in here now Google rather than my actual website just to make it quicker and easier to get this thing up and running for you. So we're going to close that down. Let's go into this section here now. All we need to do in this section here is we need to basically add our links. We're going to create our campaign link, which is the one-click. And then we want to add our one-click tag. So one-click. Oops, one-click. There we go. And we have to go down and basically publish put that to live. And then we just want to put our tag here. So it's a 1 Click Webinar Registration.
1 Click Webinar Registration
So what happens is basically here I'm going to drop a record in here. We can drop our list in here, and as soon as they get the email and they click the link, they're going to get the one-click registration. It's going to push them to register for the campaign… to be automatically registered for the campaign. And then it's just going to send a reminder email saying that they are registered. So let's just go and publish that now. We're all published. Now, let me just find the contacts here.
I'm just going to find one of my test contacts. Let me go to this one here. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to start and stop a campaign sequence. It is called a test webinar and basically is registered for one-click registration. And I'm going to drop that in there now. So that'll drop me into this campaign here and hopefully, when I refresh this page we'll see that should spring to one very shortly. There we go.
I should get an email in my inbox, which I'm just going to go off-screen and have a look at. We've got our webinar here and I'm just going to click on that now. It's going to redirect to Google. That's fine. So let's just push that to one side and then refresh that. So now we should have had the tag applied and we should be pushed into this campaign. I'll just wait for that to apply sec.
Always Test!
See how we've been registered for the webinar, so we're just going to wait now.
Hopefully, this tag's going to get applied very shortly. Then we should get a reminder email about the webinar itself. I'm just in my GoToWebinar backend now. We can see that I'd registered today. It's pulled me through into GoToWebinar.
It's registered me automatically. And I'll just wait for a link to come out now showing you the email that I get with the merged in email so we don't have to register the client when they come through at the other end. I'm just going to pause the video.
Good To Go!
As you can see now, we've got the contact in here. We're waiting just for the email to be sent to us. And if we look in our… I've just got my email there. Can see at the bottom, “Thanks, you're registered.” You can see it's merged my link in. If I go into my backend of Infusionsoft and I go into live webinars, you can see it's registered me here. It's put my title in here, the date and the time, ready, all merged in, ready to go.
So hope you enjoyed that. It's a really cool way of getting people to register much more easily than if you're trying to get them to complete forms and things like that.
Obviously they've got to be on your database to do that, and you can do this with PlusThis, MyFusion Helper, Zapier, many other tools. I prefer to use, PlusThis and MyFusion Helper for the webinar integrations. It just works really well for me.
